Galway Olympic medallist Aifric Keogh was back on the podium when competing at the weekend's Irish Rowing Championships.
Keogh, who rows with club UCC, was on the winning eights crew that took the women's senior title at the National Rowing Centre last weekend.
Coming on the back of rowing's Olympic success, there was huge interest in this year's event with UCC Rowing Club dominating the women's events.
Galway Rowing Club was well represented and was on the podium with several medal winners.
The junior women's pair won their event, overcoming Shandon. Stroke Evalna Zakarauskaite and Ranya Praxmarer in the bow took the honours, coached by Tom Elwood and Conor Maloney.
And the two rowers were joined by Hannah Durkan and Crea Elwood to form the junior women's four which also won gold.
Galway's Katie O'Brien, unable to find a partner to compete in the Paralympics, won her PR2 singles event, while the club combined with NUIG for the women's senior coxed eights and finishd creditable runners-up to the UCC crew of internationals.
There was also double delight for the Bish Rowing Club with crews winning the junior fours and eights.
Fours winners Iannis Praxmarer, Conail Cunningham, James Murphy, Alex McWeeney and cox Darragh Clery, were joined by Evan Forde, Peadar O'Connell, Cathal Monaghan, and Shane Carroll on coxed eight crew.
