VILLAGERS, BELL X1, And So I Watch You From Afar, and Saint Sister, are set to play Galway’s new music festival - Fall Right Into Place - in Claregalway Castle in September.

The festival, presented by Strange Brew, the Galway based record label and agency (and sock retailer ), will run from Wednesday September 8 to Sunday 12

The festival opens on Wednesday 8 with a headline set from one of Ireland’s most popular bands - Bell X1. The bill also includes Jape (Richie Egan from The Redneck Manifesto ); acclaimed singer-songwriter Paddy Hanna; alt-rock band The Altered Hours; and Galway singer-songwriter Maija Sofia.

The mighty And So I Watch You From Afar, who have been re-inventing and re-imagining the genres of math-rock and post-rock over the past decade, and playing some of the most exciting heavy guitar in Ireland, headline on Thursday 9. The line-up also features Just Mustard, Ailbhe Reddy, folk singer John Francis Flynn, and Pretty Happy.

"Isn’t thope for the country with The Mary Wallopers in it,” said Tommy Tiernan about the raucous Irish folk band who headline on Friday 10. The Dundalk band have won notice for their breathing new life into both well known and rare ballads. Hotpress said their “charm and irreverence is matched only by their staggering talent".

Also playing is folk singer-songwriter Junior Brother, and Irish indie rock bands Bitch Falcon, Soda Blonde, and Windings.

Saturday 11 could well be highlight of the festival, with a headline acoustic set from Villagers - Conor J O’Brien having just released his latest album Fever Dreams; electro producer/composer Daithí; electro singer-songwriter Elaine Mai; Galway indie band NewDad who have been impressing the BBC’s Annie Mac, Jack Saunders, and Steve Lamaq; and singer, Sinead White.

The festival concludes on Sunday 12 with Irish electro-folk duo Saint Sister, who released their latest album, Where I Should End, in June. The Galway Advertiser called it “a meditation on various kinds of friendship and relationships, in all their complicated - sometimes wonderful, sometimes toxic - manifestations.” Also playing are The Scratch, Kynsy, Maria Kelly, and Havvk.
