The Galway hooker ‘Loveen’ launch will take place next Tuesday.
Galway Hooker Sailing Club is a local community based club comprising more than 100 volunteers, who want to preserve, maintain, and sail Galway hookers.
An iconic symbol of Galway city the club wants to keep that tradition alive with this restoration project gaining plenty of attention.
Club commodore Ciaran Oliver and boat builders Coilín Hernon & Sons will provide an insight into how the club has developed and the 'Loveen' boat restored.
A diverse community of members, sailors, and craftspeople working together, the Galway Hooker Sailing Club aims to preserve the heritage of boats in the west of Ireland.
