The final series of matches in the WNL commence on Saturday with Galway WFC facing Cork City at Eamonn Deacy Park.
Stephen Lally's charges will be hoping to conclude the campaign in impressive fashion with two league fixtures and a cup quarter-final scheduled in the next fortnight at the Corribside venue.
Matches against Cork and Bohemians in the league are on the agenda before playing DLR Waves in an FAI Cup quarter-final.
Ahead of this important phase, Galway WFC attacker Lynsey McKey acknowledges the importance of momentum in sport. "It is funny, it is all in the head," McKey says. "I remember Billy [Clery] our previous coach and even Stephen saying it now, winning becomes a habit and unfortunately losing becomes a habit too.
"It was great to get the three points against Athlone, it was more of a relief because we finally got three points.
"Obviously Peamount are top of the table for a reason, but that is why we are focusing on Cork, to see can we get some momentum. We know we have games that we can win and let us hope we can finish it strong."
McKey wants Galway WFC to close out games in an efficient manner. "Against Cork, Treaty, and Bohs we have been winning those games, but then towards the end we have dropped points either drawing or losing by a goal," McKey adds. "That is something we are working on for the next few weeks.
"We now have Cork and Bohs, yes we need to perform, but we need to make sure we come out with the three points because we have dropped too many points with mistakes and things like that in other games throughout the season."
