Galway school project business evolves to key New York presence

A Galway-based website and app development agency, Grafton Digital which was originally conceived as a school project has officially opened its second site in Manhattan, New York.

Grafton Digital was founded in 2018 by Daragh Jordan and Erik Jentetics, both in their early 20s from Claregalway, Galway. After three years in business, the young Irish company has spread its operations into the metropolitan financial district in New York City.

The business was started as a school project to modernise Irish businesses by helping them develop an online presence and has now grown to a team of 20 people with a portfolio of more than 100 clients, comprising international corporations and other players from within the SME sector focusing specifically on Transport, Education and Hospitality.

Daragh Jordan, CEO, and Co-Founder of Grafton Digital said they have worked hard to get to this point.

“When we founded the company, our mission was to help companies maximise their online presence, as we believed most businesses weren’t getting the most out of their websites and apps.

“We focus heavily on customer service, alongside the explosion of demand to go digital due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has allowed us to grow quickly and now work with industry leaders across Ireland and the United Kingdom. Today is a proud day for Erik, the team and I, to expand into New York and continue to grow our business,” he said this week.

The Grafton Digital New York office opened its doors in July, and the team has already started work with new American clients within the education, transport, and hospitality sectors, with future targets already set as part of Grafton’s plan to further expand throughout the United States.

The Galway office will remain the HQ of the tech business and will continue to have a successful team working with a range of clients.

“Our expansion into the United States has been a great success to date and we look forward to collaborating with further companies,” concluded Mr Jordan.
