When MADRA were hit with the news that it would be unable to host its annual bucket collection in Galway city due to COVID restrictions, the charity decided to tackle it with a smile instead.
MADRA - Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption, will host its ‘Donate a Smile’ virtual fundraiser, starting this Saturday, July 24, and running until Saturday July 31.
For the Donate a Smile virtual fundraiser, MADRA are asking Galway dog owners for a €5 donation and to share a picture of their dog that will “help to spread a little happiness in a time when we all really need it”. Donations and photos can be sent via www.madra.ie/donate-a-smile

ELKA Boardings Kennels and Grooming have kindly donated a hamper of treats, and these will be shared with the dogs whose pictures generate the biggest smiles.
“We’re excited to invite people to Donate a Smile online and help us share some much-needed cheerful content, from wherever you are in the world,” said Gillian Hunter of MADRA.
