GALWAY WILL continue its tradition of having the longest continually running Pride event in Ireland, with an array of events from Monday August 9 to Sunday 15.
This year’s Pride will see more than 30 online and in-person events, including picnics, live entertainment, panels, outdoors events, and much more. The details will be made public with the launch of the Galway Pride Guide at the Pálás Cinema on Friday July 30, at 6pm.
.
The launch will take place on the cinema’s outdoor terrace. In-person numbers are limited due to current restrictions. The speakers will be Green Party Galway City Central councillor, and Deputy Mayor of Galway, Martina O'Connor; James O'Hagan of LGBT Ireland; and Cameron Keighron, chairperson of AMACH LGBT.
“Galway Pride is celebrating its 32nd year and we are asking everyone to show your support for the LGBT+ community,” said a spokesperson for the festival. “If you're in Galway that week we are asking you to fly your Pride Flag on your home, business or as a badge!”
