Four Galway United and two Galway WFC teams are in action this weekend

Brendan O’Connor’s promising Galway U19s chalked up a second successive win when defeating Kerry in Tralee.

Mikey Conlon, Mikey McCullagh, and Aaron Dossen, who scored twice, all netted as Galway emerged 4-0 victors.

Buoyed up by the impressive start, O’Connor’s charges host Cabinteely in Maree on Sunday.

Liam Murray registered a goal for United’s U17s, who lost 3-1 away to Waterford FC. Martin Devlin’s outfit are at home to Shamrock Rovers on Saturday at East United.

At U14 and U15 level Athlone Town provide the opposition this weekend for Xavi Vazquez and Anthony O’Neill’s teams.

Galway WFC’s impressive underage form continued with Phil Trill’s U19s proving too strong for Greystones as Aoibheann Costello (2 ) and Aoibhin Donnelly grabbed goals. A match with Carlow/Kilkenny is their next assignment.

Tara O’Sullivan and Isabelle Fitzpatrick hit the target for Galway WFC’s U17s in a 2-0 victory over Athlone Town. That improving Galway side faces Donegal on Saturday at Dangan.
