Claregalway Castle will host a special one day plant fair on Sunday July 4 from 10am to 6pm. Sadly, due to Covid-19, the 12th Annual Galway Garden Festival will not go ahead as planned this summer, but it is hoped to have the full scale festival event in autumn this year instead.
With a great number of attendees from the Irish Specialist Nurseries Association, the event on July 4 will be without doubt a great occasion for all garden enthusiasts. In addition to a varied selection of plant stalls, there will be light refreshments and food available on the day – and some live music.
In line with Government restrictions and social distancing measurers, the event will be restricted to 200 attendees at any one time. Tickets priced at €6 for adults can be purchased in advance from Eventbrite/claregalway-castle-2021-plant-fair-tickets where you can purchase a ticket for a specific timeslot. In addition, there will be a limited number of tickets available to purchase at the gate on the day for what is expected to be a superb day at Claregalway Castle.
Rare and special plant exhibitors present on July 4 will include - Deep Route Gardening, Gortkelly Nursery, Greenman Nurseries, Harrington Exotics, Leaf & Petal Plant Nursery, Leamore Nursery, Mulhall Obelisks, Natural Growing company, Rare Plants Ireland, Forest Moon and Just Roses.
In the interests of safety and compliance with Covid regulations it will be necessary keep to allotted two hour time-slot. It will be an outdoor event and social distancing, masks and use of hand-sanitiser stations will be required. Free parking will be available close to castle grounds.
