GP Deli launches at The Galway Plate

Lunch for €1 this Friday

The newly opened GP Deli is situated at The Galway Plate on the Tuam Road and is now open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3pm.

The Galway Plate is under new management - Kevin Nugent of Tribe Hospitality Group and his management team of Niamh Gallagher and Leroy Marshall took over The Galway Plate in late 2019. Just before the pandemic they had done work on a new interior and have had plans to transform the iconic location halted due to Covid-19. But now, Mr Nugent says, “With the opening of GP Deli it is step one of a four step plan to bring back life to The Galway Plate, and revitalise the location.”

The deli operation is open serving sandwiches, salad boxes, and pastries from Ground & Co Salthill five days a week. Niamh Gallagher says: “GP Deli will offer a new coffee and deli experience to this side of Galway city. Like our other locations we will be producing freshly cooked Irish meats, homemade sauces, relishes, and soup. Our bakers in Salthill will be providing freshly baked pastries daily and Leroy will be making his now famous sausage rolls. We are very excited to get another location open and really focus on growing the whole operation at The Galway Plate. For now you can enjoy your lunch with the addition of our new outdoor seating.”

The Galway Plate will reopen in July for sit down with a new fresh look, and while the menu will have some new additions you will still be able to enjoy the staple menu options that The Galway Plate is well known for.

To celebrate the launch of GP Deli it is offering lunch for just €1 tomorrow, Friday. If the other locations within Tribe Hospitality are anything to go by, the new GP Deli and The Galway Plate will be a huge success and worth visiting.
