On Saturday evening last May 22 just after 9pm, a woman was walking along Millers Lane, Knocknacarra. As she reached the junction with the Rahoon Road it is alleged she was assaulted by another woman who is described as being in her early thirties, of strong build with shoulder length brown hair that was in a half pony-tail.
After the alleged assault this female ran off down the Rahoon Road in the direction of Westside. This woman was wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, bright blue denim jeans and white runners.
Gardaí in Salthill are very anxious to speak with this woman and are asking anyone who may have been in the Rahoon Road area between 9pm and 9.30pm on Saturday evening and may have seen this incident to come forward.
Gardaí are also appealing to a man who was out walking his dog and came to the assistance of the injured woman to also make contact. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.
