Monaghan & Sons Galway adds Cupra to its line-up

Monaghan & Sons of Galway is one of a few new franchises in Ireland announced by Cupra Ireland.

The brand name Cupra, which was formerly known as Seat Sport,is the high-performance motorsport subsidiary of the Spanish car manufacturer Seat, which is part of the Volkswagen Group. Since its launch in 2018, the Cupra brand has developed a range of premium and technologically advanced vehicles based on contemporary design and sporty performance.

The growing range includes the Cupra Leon, Leon Sportstourer, Ateca and Formentor models, offering customers a choice for those seeking a premium and unique alternative to a new car.

The Cupra Formentor, Cupra Leon and Leon Sportstourer are now also available as e-Hybrid models, providing the best of both worlds for customers in terms of performance and emissions.

The announcement of the new Cupra retailers comes ahead of its first 100 per cent electric car, the Cupra Born. It is due to have its world premiere this month, and each retailer will provide an exclusive Cupra area which will display the brand’s innovative product range.

Each Cupra retailer will have a dedicated Cupra Specialist, a brand expert who has received specialised training from its factory in Spain. The dedicated Cupra specialist is the only point of contact throughout the sales and aftersales process for the customer, providing a bespoke and premium personal service.

The company says this further investment in the new Cupra retailers marks an exciting time for the brand as it continues its journey towards electrification.

Alongside the Cupra Born’s introduction to the Irish market in late 2021, the brand’s second 100 per cent electric model, the Cupra Tavascan will join its EV range in 2024.

Niall Phillips, brand director for Cupra and Seat Ireland, says since the brand’s launch in 2018, it has seen significant growth, which was marked with the launch of Cupra’s first standalone vehicle – the Cupra Formentor in January, and the arrival later this year of the brand’s first 100 per cent electric vehicle, the Cupra Born.

"With plans to increase our retail network further in Ireland by 2022, we look forward to adding more Cupra retailers to our network as the brand continues its expansion across Ireland.”

The brand tells us that customers can avail of exceptional finance offers on all current Cupra models with 2.9 per cent PCP Finance from May 1 to June 30. In addition, an exclusive online discount voucher worth €1,000 can be downloaded from www.cupraofficial.ie and used against any model in the 212 range. Those purchasing a 212 Cupra model will also receive a complimentary Cupra Care Pack which gives customers their first three manufacturer's services free, a Cupra courtesy car when required, free of charge collection and delivery services (terms and conditions apply to this ) and a complimentary vehicle clean.
