A-LIGN, a global security and compliance solutions provider, has announced the establishment of its Europe, Middle East and Africa business HQ in Galway, with the creation of approximately 40 roles over the next five years.
This project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland. Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar TD, said he is pleased that A-LIGN has chosen to locate its new EMEA HQ in Galway.
“It’s a real vote of confidence in the city and all it has to offer. The expansion will create approximately 40 new roles for the West Region. I wish the team every success with the expansion,” he said.
“Organisations around the world want to demonstrate to their customers and business partners that they take security seriously, which they do through A-LIGN’s independent cybersecurity assessments,” said Scott Price, Chief Executive Officer at A-LIGN.
“Our expansion into Ireland will allow us to better serve clients across the European Union who are looking for top-tier compliance experts that move at startup speed.”
The establishment of A-LIGN’s Ireland presence is a key step in furthering its international growth strategy. With over 2,500 clients globally, A-LIGN’s new Galway headquarters reaffirms its commitment to the EMEA market, providing clients with consultants and support staff located closer to where they operate.
European clients can expect the superior quality of service that A-LIGN is known for as they navigate compliance projects including ISO, PCI DSS and penetration testing services. Additionally, A-LIGN is uniquely positioned to help global companies enter the U.S. market with American-based standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST and FedRAMP.
“We are very excited to open our Irish office to expand the capabilities and value we can bring to our global clients. The market demand for security and compliance audits and certifications has continued to increase across the globe even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Ty Brush, A-LIGN’s Director of EMEA & APAC.
“Ireland presents a unique gateway to greater Europe for A-LIGN, as well as being home to one of the fastest-growing tech economies in the world.”
CEO of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan said that A-LIGN’s decision to establish its EMEA Business HQ in Galway exemplifies IDA Ireland’s track record of winning high-value projects for regional locations. A-LIGN is a welcome addition to the West’s Tech cluster and demonstrates the availability of a highly skilled and talented workforce across the region. I wish A-LIGN every success with this investment.”
