Help sought to locate missing man
Gardaí in Salthill are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Stephen Hilton. Stephen Hilton has been missing from the Rahoon area since Sunday May 9, 2021.
Stephen is 24 years of age. He is 6 feet 3 inches in height, of slim build with long brown hair, a long patchy brown beard and brown eyes.
Stephen was last seen in the Inverin area on Sunday May 9, 2021. When last seen he was wearing a navy jacket with cream detailing on the arms, dark jeans, white trainers and was carrying a backpack.
Gardaí are asking anyone with any information on Stephen’s whereabouts to contact them at Salthill Garda Station on 091-514 720, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 11 or any Garda Station.
Theft of engine from Corrib boat
Sometime between 6pm on Wednesday May 12 and 12pm on Thursday May 13, the locks were cut and a navy Evinrude 6 horse-power engine was tolen from a boat tied at Annaghdown Pier, Annaghdown.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any person acting suspiciously near Annaghdown pier between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning or anyone who may have been offered this Evinrude engine for sale to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030.
Sometime between 6pm on Friday May 14 and 5.30am on Saturday May 15 the locks were cut and a man’s black and grey mountain bike that was chained to fencing outside a house at Garran Ard, Doughiska was stolen.
The Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen the mountain bike being taken or anyone who may have been offered this bike for sale to contact them at Galway Garda Station on 091 538000.
Man threw items at Castlegar house
Just after midnight on Thursday May 13 a number of items were thrown at the front windows of a house at Caireal Mor, Castlegar causing extensively damage.
A male was seen running from the house at the time of the incident. This male is described as being of slight build and wearing a grey hoodie and black pants.
This male got into a dark coloured saloon car and drove off in the direction of the Headford Road, Galway. Gardaí in Galway are asking anyone who may have witnessed this damage being caused or anyone who may have any information in relation to the male or the vehicle described to contact them on 091-538000.
On Tuesday May 12 at around 10.15pm a large object was thrown through the front window of a house at Costello Road, Shantalla. Gardaí are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have seen anything that could help their investigation to contact them at Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
