The traffic problems plaguing St Finbarrs Terrace, Bohermore, look set to be at an end with the implementation of a one way traffic system for the area.
"Following several meeting with residents, City Hall officials, and engineers, a design was agreed and works are now underway to implement this one way system.
Fianna Fáil councillor Mary Leahy, who has been working with the residents on this issue, has welcomed the news.
“These works will see an end to the erratic parking and congestion in St Finbarrs Terrace,” she said. “People in this area can now be reassured that emergency vehicles will be able to access their road. In the past, residents feared emergency vehicles would not be in a position to respond to calls in this area, such was the congestion.”
