If you still haven’t got over the last attack of horse racing betting fever, well now’s your chance to get it out of your system as the Autumn meeting of the Galway Races has begun.
The Autumn Festival meeting begins today, September 8, at 4.25pm so hurry and get your tips in order. Never fear though, there will be plenty of time to pick that winning nag with racing starting at 3.55pm on Tuesday, September 9, and 2.10pm, Wednesday, September 10.
One of the highlights of the meeting will be the Ardilaun Hotel Listed Oyster Stakes, which takes place today and which is now in its 17th year.
The three day Autumn Festival consists of 21 races of both flat and national hunt races and is very popular with those who may have missed out on the summer festival and those looking for a more laid back racing experience.
