Gardai probe burglary at Ballyeighter farm

Sometime between 9.30pm on Tuesday May 4 and 8am on Wednesday May 5 a number of farm buildings at Ballyeighter, Aughrim, Ballinasloe were broken into with damage caused to the property.

During the course of the break in an 8ft by 4ft Nugent trailer with mesh sides, a Honda power-washer, a Honda lawnmower, a Stihl chainsaw, a Husqvarna chainsaw along with a Hitachi angle grinder were stolen.

Gardaí in Ballinasloe are asking anyone who may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Ballyeighter area on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning or anyone with any information in relation to the break in to contact them on 09096-31890.

Information sought on city burglaries

On Sunday May 9 between midnight and 7am a house at Slí Na Sruthan, Clybaun Road, Knocknacarra was broken in with damage caused to the property.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Slí Na Sruthan area on Monday night/Tuesday morning or anyone with any information in relation to this burglary to contact them at Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.

On Sunday morning May 9 at around 2am a house at Cloch Ard, Bothar Stiofáin, Knocknacarra, Galway was broken into. During the course of the burglary a set of car keys was taken and used to take a silver Mercedes Benz C Series from outside the property. Gardaí in Salthill are anxious to speak with anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Bothar Stiofáin/Clybaun Road area in the early hours of Sunday morning or anyone with any information in relation to the burglary or the stolen silver Mercedes Benz. On Sunday May 9 between 3am and 4am a business premises on the Tubber Road, Gort was broken into and damage caused to the front of the property. Gardaí in Gort are asking anyone who may have been travelling along the Tubber Road between 3am and 4am on Sunday and may have seen anything that could assist in their investigation to contact them at on 091-636400.

Hydraulic pipes on Oranmore digger damaged

Between 9pm on Wednesday May 5 and 9.30am on Thursday May 6 extensive damage was done to the paintwork of a red Hyundai Santa Fe parked outside a property at The Pottery, Weir Road, Tuam. Anyone who may have witnessed this damage being caused or anyone that may have any information that could help this investigation is asked to contact Tuam Garda Station on 093-70840.

Sometime over the weekend between Friday evening May 7 and Monday morning May 10 the hydraulic pipes were cut on an orange Hitachi digger parked on a construction site on the Limerick Road, Oranmore, opposite Lidl. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in or around the Limerick Road area over the weekend who noticed anything or anyone with any information that could help with this investigation to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030.

Objects thrown at Tuam house

At around 1.30am on Saturday May 8 a number of objects were thrown at the front window of a house at Cuirt Na Cora, Weir Road, Tuam.

Gardaí in Tuam are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have seen anything in the Weir Road area to contact them on 093-70840.
