Pain management expert available for appointments

Dr Mona Mubarak has been practising for more than 25 years in her profession. Dr Mubarak currently provides regular clinic and pain interventions at Galway Clinic.

Dr Mubarak is a full time consultant in chronic pain management and anaesthesia, whose NHS practice was based at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, until 2017. Dr Mubarak is a fellow of the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland and the Faculty of Pain Medicine. She has an extensive experience in pain management and treated more than 10,000 patients in Australia and the United Kingdom, including the Birmingham University Hospitals. She also specialises in pelvic and cancer pain.

After completing the Pain Fellowship Programme at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney in 2015, Dr Mubarak spent six months in another international fellowship in Leeds, UK, focusing on neuromodulation, spinal cord stimulation, and cancer treatment. Dr Mubarak has completed the Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP ), World Institutes of Pain, in 2017. She was the lead for multidisciplinary opioids and acute pain service in Dorset University NHS Foundation Trust until 2019.
