Ford lreland has teamed up with O2 by providing a fleet of Ford Rangers for the company’s Grand Slam Trophy Tour. The tour has been bringing the Grand Slam trophy to rugby fans in towns all over the country.
Ford is the official vehicle supplier to the Irish Rugby Football Union and Ford’s MD, Eddie Murphy, tells us: “We were delighted to come on board to facilitate O2 in its Grand Slam Tour around Ireland. Ford’s association with rugby, through the IRFU, dates back many years, and of course it’s great to be toasting Grand Slam success after so many decades in waiting.
“From a commercial perspective, the tour allows us to parade the rugged styling and toughness that lies behind the Ranger brand and which epitomises Ford’s association with the sport of rugby.”
The tour covers some 1,500 kms, visiting 23 towns over seven days with fans invited to have their picture taken with the trophy at local O2 outlets.
