BON IVER, aka Justin Vernon, will play his only Irish show this year at the Big Top as part of Galway Arts Festival and tickets are now on sale.
Galway city is of peculiar personal significance to Justin, who returns for the first time since a visit in 1999, when Galway was the only place outside North America he had ever spent significant time in. Back then Justin sold phones in an Eircell shop on Eyre Square. Since then he has stunned the public and critics with his marvellous album For Emma, Forever Ago and the Blood Bank EP.
Bon Iver will play The Big Top in the Fisheries Field on Thursday July 23 at 7pm. Tickets are €35.50 from Ticketmaster and www.ticketmaster.ie It has also been announced that David Gray will play the Big Top in the Fisheries Field on Tuesday July 21 as part of the festival. Support will be from David Kitt. Tickets are on sale now.
