Credit Union Technology businesses, Intuity Technologies and Wellington IT have announced an integration that will allow Wellington Credit Union’s access a shared member engagement platform that is transforming the way Credit Unions do business and is modernising the way they look after our members in today’s virtual world. Until now, this solution had only been available to CUDA members so this marks an important development for the Credit Union sector in Ireland.
Intuity Technologies, in partnership with The Solution Centre have developed Hive, a collaborative CRM System specifically for Credit Unions to drive loan book growth, improve marketing ROI and enrich member engagement.
Michael Cox, Head of Business Solutions at Intuity Technologies spoke of the success of the platform to date saying; “It’s great to have the key systems within the Credit Union synchronised which allows us to build end to end processes which can deliver the in-branch experience for Members remotely from anywhere on any device. Efficiencies from a CRM can enable more responsive member engagement which will lead to loan book growth and improved member experience.”
Intuity Technologies (Formerly ICE CUBE ) have been partnering with Credit Unions since 1988. One of the original Credit Union Application Developers in the country, the company has evolved and expanded to now deliver state of the art Business Solutions, Manged IT, Managed Print and IT & Data Security Solutions to Credit Unions and SME’s all over Ireland.
The Solution Centre act on behalf of the User Group of participating Credit Unions who have been integral in this integration. Working with Intuity and the Solution Centre, Hive was designed and built with significant input from the staff of participating Credit Unions and the same approach has been taken in the specification of the Wellington API. Having end users of the platform involved in every aspect of design and development ensures that Hive solves the real-world challenges faced by Credit Union staff.
Wellington IT has worked closely with Intuity and The Solution Centre to ensure Scion integrates seamlessly with Hive to provide one source of truth and allow data to be shared between both systems.
The API has now been developed and provides an automated push of member and loan data from Scion to the Hive CRM system on a daily basis. This integration is complete and available, having completed final stage testing.
Stewart Agnew of Dundalk Credit Union said that Hive has become an integral part of their operations, allowing them to more efficiently monitor lending activity, increase conversion rates on loan enquiries and better manage relationships with Members.
“When the planned integration goes live, the API between Scion and Hive will be of enormous benefit to us by eliminating manual effort in data entry and ensuring that both systems remain fully synced.”
Ian Glenn, CTO Wellington IT said that when their API transfers information from Scion into the CRM system of choice, it ensures both systems always have an up-to-date source of truth, so Credit Unions are always working with the most accurate data.
“Our API with Hive is proving very successful and our next step is to work with our customers to decipher what information from the CRM system should be transferred back into Scion – allowing that two-way transfer of data. This evidences our ongoing commitment to developing open APIs to promote choice for our customers. In today’s world it’s more important than ever to share data (securely ) and give our customers choice over which third-party systems they wish to integrate with Scion,” he said.
