The Lough Rea Hotel and Spa has launched the Lough Rea at Home café menu, offering delicious sweet treats to enjoy at home.

The hotel recently welcomed Gavin O’Rourke as its new executive head chef. O’Rourke brings with him a wealth of experience from his role as group executive head chef at the Hodson Bay Group. He describes himself as ambitious, competitive, and hardworking, with a great passion for food, and his new menus reflect that.

“Good quality local suppliers are the key to any good tasting food and Galway has plenty to offer,” said Gavin O’Rourke.

The team in the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa are working on new menus for the coming season, and for now you can taste a sample of these dishes through the click and collect menus.

The Lough Rea at Home menu includes takeaway teas and coffees as well as a full range of sweet treats from the kitchen. You will be able to smell the freshly baked breads, scones, muffins, and cookies from the driveway. The café will be open each day from 10am to 6pm and will also act as a collection point for the hotel’s click and collect menu which is growing more popular by the week.

The click and collect menus include brunch boxes filled with pancakes, waffles and breakfast pastries, takeaway afternoon tea stand, and of course the special occasion menus. The Mother’s Day and St Patrick's Day menus are now live on the website www.loughreahotelandspa.com.
