'THE LAKE', the fifth single in the past 12 months from Galway based singer-songwriter, Derek Ellard, is released on Friday March 5.
The track, which will also be featured on his forthcoming EP, A Nod and Then a Wave, is a waltzing, alternative folk-rock track, with a rousing chorus, and lyrics dwelling on themes of perseverance, repentance, patience through adversity, and love.
Derek's music has been called "an intoxicating brew of folk and post rock that's peppered with a little bit of prog" by Hotpress, and draws inspiration from Frightened Rabbit, Joshua Burnside, The Frames, Grizzly Bear, and Fleet Foxes.
