Housing crisis

“I am honoured to have been chosen by our local branch members to represent our politics in Galway,” said Mr Curren. "Our immediate priorities include continuing to push the Government to adopt a Zero Covid strategy to get us out of this cycle of lockdowns."
He said PBP will continue to campaign for public lands such as those at Sandy Road, Dyke Road, Nuns Island, and Ceannt Station to be used for public housing and community amenities.
"People Before Profit oppose any attempts to hand over public land to private developers," he said. "We will continue to highlight the scandal of billionaire property speculators hoarding empty houses around Galway during a housing crisis.”
