Monday February 1 will see NUI Galway Students’ Union start its Kilometre Challenge which will raise funds for three Galway charities.
A total of 280 students and staff have so far registered to take part in the Kilometre Challenge which will run throughout February. The aim of the challenge is to encourage participants to commit to completing a target number of kilometres throughout the month by walking, running or on wheels all within their 5km radius.
Funds are being raised for Galway Autism Partnership, Galway Rape Crisis Centre, and Helplink Mental Health.
