Speed calming measures have been installed on all entrances to Headford, while digital speed signs are in place on the Headford Road, Claran Road, and Cong Road.
The signs have been welcomed by Fine Gael county councillor Andrew Reddington, who had made the installation of such measures a platform of his local election campaign.
“Although we cannot make drivers slow down, there are now digital speed signs in place to prompt drivers to slow down,” he said. “One of the signs came from a notice of motion I allocated in 2019 and the other two came from an application I made under the low cost accident scheme.”
