Manager Shane O'Neill has made a handful of changes to the Galway senior hurling panel in advance of the 2021 National Hurling League.
Seven new players have been added, most notably 2018 All Ireland minor captain Sean Neary, and 2017 All Ireland minor winners, Jack Canning of Portumna - nephew of current star Joe - and Turloughmore's Daniel Loftus, brother of Sean.
Two from Liam Mellows 2017 county winners are Stephen Barrett and Jack Hastings, in addition to Athenry's Cian Burke, and Cappataggle's Declan Cronin.
While James Skehill has retired after 13 seasons, Turloughmore's Ronan Burke and Kevin Hussey, Liam Mellows' Tadhg Horan, Jack Gealish of Gort, Tynagh Abbey Duniry's Paul Killeen, and Eanna Burke of St Thomas have dropped out.
It is understood the panel will remain open.
While there is no collective GAA at present, the GAA will review the situation at the end of the month. However, there will be no third level championships this academic year. Higher Education GAA chairman Michael Hyland says it had been hoped to stage the competitions, including both Sigerson and Fitzgibbon cups, but it was not possible.
"There is a lot of uncertainty when the games will recommence at club and county level, and what the calendar will look like in 2021, but we will work with clubs, colleges, development officers, and all stakeholders to try to find ways to mitigate against the effects of our students not having any games this academic year, and we look forward to a return to play in October."
