Start the New Year with a musical trip into the tales of the much loved Danish writer

FOR MORE than 150 years, the stories of Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen have delighted, inspired, and enthralled children, and some of his greatest stories will be coming to a stage and screen near you.

The Stories of Hans Christian Andersen, a musical show for all the family, will be touring online at venues between now and January, with the Galway show coming from the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday January 9, and broadcast via www.tht.ie

Presented by Verdant Productions, the show will see performances of such classic Anderson stories as 'Thumbelina', 'The Emperor’s New Clothes', 'The Ugly Duckling', and 'The Little Mermaid', adapted by Donal Shiels & Debbie Kiernan, and starring Brian Gilligan (The Commitments, The Lion King ), Rachel O’Connell (The Young Offenders, Eclipsed ), Daithi O’Donnell (Ros na Rún ) and Kelly-Marie Ní Cheallaigh (Copper Face Jacks - The Musical ).
