Two by Two: Overboard! - Galway animated film proves a big hit

More fun and adventures as members of Noah's ark get washed overboard and land on a volcanic island!

TWO BY Two: Overboard!, produced by Galway animation company Moetion Films, and featuring a new song from Galway composer Eimear Noone, is in cinemas now.

Noah’s ark drifts on the open seas, with best friends Finny and Leah on board. After weeks with no land in sight, food stocks are running low and the fragile peace between carnivores and herbivores could break any second. Then disaster - Finny and Leah, along with the last of the food supplies, are washed overboard, and are washed up on a remote island, home to an active volcano. What will they do?

Directed by Toby Genkel and Sean McCormack, and written by Richie Conroy and Mark Hodkinson, Two by Two features the voices of Alan Stanford and comedians Tara Flynn and Paul Tylak. Also featured in the voice cast is I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here 2020 winner Giovanna Fletcher, who, along with her husband Tom [both pictured below], voice a pair of law enforcing, but hilariously incompetent, Nestrian guards.

.

“We had such fun recording these two!”, says Giovanna. "Nestrians are just adorable. My character is very bossy and is always losing her temper when things go wrong. Tom has made lots of jokes about there being a few too many similarities between her and me."

The film also features the song, ‘Stand For Hope’, written by Galway composer Eimear Noone, performed by Sibéal. Eimear made international headlines earlier this year when she became the first woman to conduct the orchestra at the Oscars.

.

Two by Two is a great success for Moetion Films Ltd, which is based in the Centre for Creative Arts & Media, GMIT Cluain Mhuire, and it's directors Moe Honan and Siun Ní Raghallaigh. It went straight to No 1 in the UK box office when it opened there in October, and has taken off in Ireland since its release in cinemas nationwide at the start of this month.
