Family fun day at City Museum

On Sunday May 17, Colours Street Theatre Company will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a free fun day of arts events for families in the square at the Galway City Museum from 2pm to 6pm.

The entertainment begins with carnival games followed by juggling workshops and circus performances. At 3pm a group of mime artists will engage with the audience to create their unique style of theatre, followed by Colours’ latest theatrical piece, Stolen Apples at 4.30pm. The last hour of the day will be dedicated to DJs and dance performances.

Other activities throughout the day include performances from musicians and poets performing onstage, structures made from recycled material being created, face painting, and a photo exhibition. The event will close with the launch of paper boats into the bay.
