Headford Solas Resource Centre launches fundraising appeals

The innovative team at Headford’s Solas Resource Centre have made an appeal to raise funds to support the services impacted by the loss this year of the usual fundraising events.

Solas Headford will have only one fundraising campaign — the Solas Go Fund Me with a target of €20,000 which they need to reach by Wednesday December 23.

This year, because of Covid, Solas have had not had any Easter raffle, annual social dance, or church-gate collection, so they are asking friends and supporter to make a contribution to the collection – no matter how small.

“People have always been so generous in the past, so we ask you to please give what you can, and encourage your friends and neighbours to do the same,” said a spokesperson for the centre.

“We are reaching out to all local groups, clubs and individuals who are willing to assist us in our campaign. Perhaps you could organise a quiz, a cake sale, an online music session, or a car wash. We know that this is a big ask in this current climate, but people are very creative,” they said
