Celebrations were enjoyed in the Egan/Devenney household this week when Sharon Egan (Sherry FitzGerald) graduated from TU Dublin with Higher Cert in Business in Real Estate (Valuations, Sale and Management), alongside her two. Jade Egan Devenney graduated with a BB Honours Degree in Accountancy, GMIT, and Lauren Egan Devenney graduated with a Bachelors of Arts International, French and Economics from NUIG. The village of Roundstone has been named as Ireland's second prettiest village by travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller.

The prestigious travel magazine singled out 12 Irish villages and small towns for their charm, character and beauty and said the historic, picturesque settings often offer a glimpse into the past.

Condé Nast described Roundstone as "the perfect Irish village" and the scenery as "awe inspiring".

The article read: "Close your eyes – and picture the perfect Irish village in your mind. Chances are it’ll have ocean views, a vibrantly painted streetscape and bobbing fishing vessels in its harbour. Throw in a backdrop of the Twelve Bens mountain range and Connemara’s awe-inspiring landscape and you’ll have visions of Roundstone in Galway.

"The main street straddles a steep hill overlooking the Atlantic, where visitors linger to drink in the view with a bowl of chowder or glass of creamy stout at O’Dowd’s Seafood Bar."
