To celebrate the launch of the new, all-electric Honda e, Honda has teamed up with SSE Airtricity and Sheils Motor Group to make the transition to driving electric hassle free.
The partnership offers all eligible customers of the Honda e the installation of a free home charging system. Customers simply check their SEAI grant eligibility, and SSE Airtricity takes care of the rest. The offer is available across the five Honda e dealerships nationwide, one of which is Sheils Motor Group Galway.
At the launch of the Honda e, John Saunders, sales and marketing director for Universal Honda Ltd, said that with the greater focus on environmental issues, such as climate change, Honda's customers were seeking cleaner mobility and energy choices in Ireland.
"The launch of the Honda e represents our commitment to reflecting this change as we transition towards Honda’s 2022 goal, where our entire model range will be electrified. Therefore, we are delighted to be partnering with SSE Airtricity which prides itself on providing 100 per cent green energy. Together we are helping to improve our environment.

Honda e
An new all-electric Honda e went on sale in Ireland from the end of November 2020, priced from €29,995, inclusive of SEAI grants and VRT relief totalling €10,000.
Available from a selection of metropolitan Honda dealers nationwide, including Sheils Galway and Limerick, the compact fully electric Honda e is a combination of dynamic performance, refined comfort and futuristic technology with the most comprehensive range of standard safety features in its class.
