What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Sitting in a café or pub, reading a book, having a coffee, waiting for a friend to arrive.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

Sisyphus pushing the boulder up a hill.

Which living person do you most admire?

I admire everyone that gets out of bed, does their best and is kind, despite the horrible year we're having.

Which is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Deploring traits in myself.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Buying Irish music on Bandcamp, and livestreams.

What is your favourite journey?

The bus from Galway to Mountbellew on a Sunday afternoon.

On what occasion do you lie?

When being totally honest could really hurt someone, and serves no greater purpose.

Which living person do you most despise?

Mé féin-ers. People who won't do the simplest things for the benefit of society.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

At the moment, I'm missing my parents more than usual; I think of them every day.

When and where were you happiest?

Hosting a heap of people for dinner at my house this time last year (when you could still give everyone a good hug ).

Which talent would you most like to have?

I'd love to be able to drum.

What is your current state of mind?

Anticipative, persistent, grateful.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Writing the successful 10 year FM licence application for Flirt FM in 2006 (and again in 2016 ).

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what do you think it would be?

A rotund cat.

What is your most treasured possession?

A bike.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Being stuck in a bad situation that there's no improving, fixing, or getting out of.

What is your favourite occupation?

Listening to a podcast, messing around on photoshop with a glass of red wine in the evening.

What is the quality you most like in a man?

Sense of humour, and a beard.

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

Sense of humour and divilment.

Who are your favourite writers?

Haruki Murakami, Ursula K Le Guin, Philip Pullman, Joan Didion, and Jim Dodge.

What is your motto?

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
