THE GREAT Karl Spain, and his glamorous assistant Fred Cooke, will host a night of laughs, quizzing, and plenty of prizes - including online vouchers that will help #SupportLocal businesses - in The Silly Virtual Quiz.
The quiz, hosted by Galway events team Womp Events, takes place on Friday November 20 at 8pm, via Zoom. The host will be Karl Spain, regular host of comedy nights at the Róisín Dubh, and MC of the the Late Night KARLnival, always a highlight of the annual Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway. He has also featured on Celebrity Operation Transformation and his TV series Karl Spain Wants A Woman.
Fred Cooke has been MC on The Tommy Tiernan Show, and a semi-finalist on RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars. He has also appeared on Republic of Telly, The Café, The Savage Eye, and The Liffey Laughs; performed at the Edinburgh Fringe; and supported Ardal O’Hanlon, Tommy Tiernan, Dara O Brian, Ross Noble, and Jason Byrne.
Tickets are €5 per house and available via https://www.wompevents.com/events. Participants in the quiz will require two devices: a PC, laptop, or tablet, to join the event; and a smartphone, is to answer questions via the quiz software. The code will usually be sent up to 30 minutes before the quiz begins.
