Connemara shooting instructor pens book on a lifetime of instruction

A Connemara shooting instructor has written a book that aims to teach aspiring Olympic shooters how to hone their skills.

Shane Bisgood, from the Connemara Shooting School and author of The Complete Shot, began teaching when he was 16 years old, became a trained professional by the age of 26 and has been a full time instructor for 42 years. He trains or coaches persons who may never have touched a shotgun up to the day they stand with him, or they may be reaching for the exalted heights of Olympic success.

A life time spent watching others participate in their chosen sport, is possibly how some people would see the career of a sports instructor.

But in actuality, so much of what Mr Bisgood does is to get people to understand their thought processes and couple that with the physical side of shooting a shotgun.

He learned from his own pursuit in competition and his success and methods have been something he has wanted to share with all his clients.

Whatever their own personal goal, Mr Bisgood and his book will give them a simple understanding of methods and how to employ those methods. If his clients have shooting problems, they will find solutions within these pages. The book is illustrated throughout with correct elements to employ in this sport.

It is also illustrated with anecdotes from his life as an instructor, including hearing about the characters who have asked him for help.

The Complete Shot is available now on Amazon. or from [email protected].
