The Galleon has been a real institution in Salthill since 1965 and at times like this we need to pull together as a community, more than ever. The Restaurant have made the decision to keep on Truckin’! They are going to offer a take away service Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Since Covid19 arrived, we along with so many others have had to adapt and change our business model. We have lost our favorite part which is the vibrant sound of chatter and the warm welcoming of guests! However, We are humbled by the support of all our customers, both new and old and wish to continue providing all the best elements that the Galleon has been known for.
The Galleon is open Friday 2pm- late, Saturday 2pm – late and Sunday 12pm – 7pm.

We will continue to do this for as long as its safe to do so. If you know of anyone who is cocooning please let them know we can deliver to them within the Salthill area. “We can do a few days meals in advance, so they don’t need to go out” says Ger “I will personally drop it to them”

“This year the local Businesses need your support, They are already on their knees, those in hospitality doing take out or those in Retail offering click and collect, like my own Mum, who has a small shop, An Siopa Eile In Mountbellew are all needing the support. We have a long tough road ahead but with the support of locals, We will survive this storm" Ger said.
