Barrett’s of Ballinasloe rebrands as Chadwick’s

A leading County Galway shop has been rebranded and with the change in name comes new additions and an upgrading of the store.

Barrett’s, the well known store in Society Street, Ballinasloe has changed its name to Chadwick’s.

The move is part of an ongoing nationwide rebrand by the builders’ merchants, the Chadwick’s Group, which began in 2018. Chadwick’s in Ballinasloe is the 22nd branch to have undergone extensive refurbishment.

Barrett’s has a long and proud history in Ballinasloe, having been established by Frank Barrett in 1954. Frank’s two sons, Gerry and Mike, took over the business in 1980 which coincided with a move to its current location on Society Street. In 2004, Barretts became part of Heiton Buckley and now it continues its journey within the Chadwick’s Group family.

While there are changes and enhancements to the branch, the team of 17 highly trained merchanting specialists remain the same and customers can expect to still receive the expert product knowledge they have come to enjoy from the Ballinasloe team. The staff receives regular training on all the latest product innovations to ensure they can help customers stay on top of the latest trends in the industry.

Visitors to the newly revamped store can expect a seamless shopping experience alongside some new and exciting additions and upgrades. This includes the introduction of a new range of doors and floors, including the latest trend for painted doors.

Customers will also find new additions to the paint counter in terms of brands, varnishes, and accessories. In-branch paint mixing services are also available making it a one-stop-shop for all painting and protective coating needs.

The upgraded bathroom showroom houses the latest bathroom suites and products from top name brands, reflecting current trends and innovations in the category.

As well as an expanded range of great value trade products, there is a wide selection of power tools available and a new and improved workwear range of professional clothing.

Commenting on the rebrand, Gerry Barrett, Chadwick’s branch manager, said the new branch has been upgraded and customers can expect expanded product ranges from top name brands.

“This is coupled with expert product knowledge from our talented team. Barrett’s has a long history in the town of Ballinasloe as we enter this new chapter of our history we look forward to continuing to serve the people of Ballinasloe and the wider region for many years to come.”

The Chadwick’s Group has 50 branches in the Republic of Ireland and employs more than 1,300 people.
