Caesar Stack's the big hunger-hitter of the SuperSub range

I have been a fan of the SuperSubs at Supermacs offerings for sometime now because of the speed of the service, the quality of the fare on offer, and the wide range of toppings and fillings that one could build into a sub if you have the creativity.

When in the office, mainly I’m a sub and soup guy and would regularly sneak back into work with my prized lunch in tow, so a snot to lose a minute on deadline days,

Warming on those chilly winter days. Spicy cajun chickens and roasting tomato soups — yum, even the thought of them has me salivating now here on the cusp of winter.

In summer time, the cool lighter sandwiches were convenient for dining on a plinth in the Square somewhere. The SuperSubs are neatly cut, well wrapped and come with everything you need for eating on the move.

For those of you who might not want to partake in the regular offerings from Supermacs at lunchtime, the presence of SuperSubs has been a godsend.

The combo deals which can be packaged together like subs and salads and soups and crisps, and hot or cold drinks really give the consumer a wide array of choice in a clean and super efficient setting.

Each sub comes with a variety of optional toppings and sauces, and can be served hot or cold, though some of the breads on offer are just divine having felt the heat of the grill for some time.

There are low-cal options; lighter breads, and a variety of sauces, one of which is bound to hit the spot. There is always one to suit the mood.

Into this impressive line-up comes the Caesar Stack and what a treat that is. As someone who can either take or leave a Caesar Salad, my expectations of this were not high, but wow were they blown away.

The Caesar Stack is grilled chicken and bacon topped off with parmesan cheese, rocket, red onion and a sprinkle of crispy fried onions stacked on a delicious garlic infused sourdough.

It is a mouthful but what a taste. Forget your preconceptions of Caesar Salads, this is like nothing else. Piled high with tasty ingredients, it is the ideal healthy lunchtime treat.

All of the SuperSubs offerings have been developed with chefs, foodies, nutritionists and artisan bakers and the brainstorming that must have been held has reaped the rewards.

SuperSubs are based in Eyre Square; in the Galway Plaza at Kiltullagh and at Loughrea and Ballinasloe, as well as dozens of other locations throughout the country.
