Claregalway and Kilkerrin/Clonberne are gearing up for the biggest day in senior ladies county football when they meet in this year's final that takes place in Annaghdown at 4.30pm.
Current champions Kilkerrin/Clonberne look strong favourites for another county title after overcoming a brave Caltra Cuans challenge to win by 6-20 to 1-8 in Clonberne.
The holders would dearly love another opportunity to compete in the All Ireland series, having lost in their first final to the reigning champions Mourneabby last season.
First they must retain the Galway crown when they face Claregalway who overcame Corofin in an entertaining semi-final by 4-12 to 4-7.
In other other results last weekend Menlough/Skehana overcame Clonbur 3-9 by 3-9 to 1-13 in the Intermediate semi-final, while Claregalway got the better of 4-5 St Brendans by 4-5 1-12in the relegaton semi-final.

More than 45 teams took part in the Galway LGFA first golf outing fundraiser in Tuam Golf Club last Friday and Saturday.
The winning team was Liam Slevin, Fergus McMahon, Micheal Fahy and Mike Moran with a team score of 92 pts.

This year's senior camogie final, scheduled for Sunday, has been postponed.
All-Ireland champions Sarsfields were to take on 2018 county champions Ardrahan in Gort in a repeat of the 2018 decider, while both clubs met in the opening round of this year’s championship when extra-time was required before Sarsfields prevailed 1-14 to 1-12.
The junior A final meeting of Sarsfields and Bothar Na Tra will also be rearranged.

Handball is back in action with Galway's well known brothers Diarmuid and Martin Mulkerrins continuing their strong form.
The pair were in Thurles where Diarmuid Mulkerrins produced a superb comeback to den Wexford’s Gavin Buggy. Buggy, having taken a 19-11 lead in the first, looked like taking the game, but Mulkerrins staged a great comeback, and defended three game balls to edge out the first 21-20. Although Buggy dominated the second, 21-11, to bring the match to a tiebreaker, the Moycullen man won 11-5.
Older brother Martin Mulkerrins won his match against Wicklow’s Michael Gregan in two straight games 21-15, 21-13, and the brothers now contest this weekend’s quarter finals.
