Man abusive to woman at Silver Strand

Gardaí in Salthill Garda Station are investigating an incident which occurred at Silver Strand, Barna, Galway between 6pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday September 1.

A male who is described as being in his late 30s / early 40s, thin build with short dark hair and wearing a grey tracksuit bottom with a brown pullover was verbally abusive to a female in the area around the changing facilities.

There were a number of people in the area at the time and gardaí are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may know the identity of the male involved to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091 514720.

Drill stolen in Doughiska

On Saturday September 5 between 22.30pm and 6am, a Maroon Peugeot Partner van was broken into at the entrance to Fearann Ri, Doughiska.

The driver's fly window was smashed and a green Makita Corded Drill was taken. Anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or who may have been offered the power tool for sale is asked to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091 388030.

Hyundai damaged in Glenanail, Galway

On Tuesday September 1 at 10.15pm a male was disturbed breaking into a light blue Hyundai i10 at Glenanail, Galway.

When confronted this male fled the scene onto the Tuam Road and towards the junction of the Tuam Road and Bothar Na Treabh. He is described as being in his 50s with short grey hair and wearing a black Adidas top with white stripes.

Anyone who may have information as to the identity of this male or who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Cash stolen at Williamsgate Street

On Friday September 4 at approximately 8.45pm, a break in occurred at a retail premises in Williamgate St/Eyre Square, Galway.

Part of the cash register and a quantity of cash were stolen. Anyone who may witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the Eyre Square area around this time or who may have information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000.

Riverside robbery

On Sunday September 6, between 3am and 7am, a house was broken into at Glenview Drive, Riverside, Galway.

A quantity of cash, two mobile phones, a silver Samsung S6, and a silver Samsung S7, a silver gent's Armani watch, and a white gold man’s Versace chain were taken. Anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area or may have been offered any of these items for sale is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000
