Madison gets chance to thank Merit Medical and Blood Bike West

Recently, Merit Medical in conjunction with its Charity of the Year, Blood Bike West were delighted to welcome its very own VIP, Madison Hynes to help celebrate the naming of Blood Bike West’s newest fleet Bike, “Madison” which will remain for its lifetime.

Blood Bike West asked Merit employees to come up with a name and Madison’s name was submitted by her mum Nicola Noone.

Four-year-old Madison is no stranger, to Blood Bike West vital lifesaving, as she was born prematurely and spent nine and a half months in Crumlin Hospital.

When Madison was just two days old, “Blood Bike West” transported vital breast milk to her in Dublin, while her mum was recovering in Galway. Madison’s mum has said that the “Blood Bike West service saved her daughter’s life that day, as she could not feed normally”. Nicola remembers that crucial day and is forever thankful to Blood Bike West.

Merit Medicals Sports & Social Team had the opportunity to present Blood Bike West with its first cheque of 2020 for €5,000. Well done to Nicola, Madison and Merit Medical Employees and Blood Bike West for making all of this possible.
