REVELATIONS, the debut EP by Loughrea indie/pop/folk-trad quartet EVØKE is released today - Thursday August 27 - and limited edition physical copies will be available.
The band are Keagan Forde (lead vocals/guitar ), Evan Forde (drums/backing vocals ), Michael Glynn (bass ), Dylan Crean (banjo/backing vocals ). In a recent interview with the Galway Advertiser, Keegan said of the EP: "Expect to hear a mix of indie, rock, pop, ballads, a dazzle of country, and some trap influence beats along with trad.”
The EP features five songs - 'For You', 'Came To An End', and 'Revelations', as well as the recent singles 'Collide' and 'Can You Feel It?', and true to their word, the diversity of the band's influences and abilities shine through.
"There is a vast mixture of sounds and genres within these songs," says Keegan. "It will definitely have something for everyone. We knew we were never just going to stick with one specific sound/genre and we wanted to include as much diversity as possible. When playing gigs we like to switch up styles and love to see the surprised look on people's faces when we do. This is something we wanted to encapsulate within this EP to keep our listeners interested and entertained, while also keeping true to ourselves by not conforming to a single genre."
