A clean-up day for Ballybane, in conjunction with the Merlin Residents Association, and the Galway City Council environmental sections, takes place this weekend.
The clean-up is on this Saturday [August 15] from 11am to 3pm. Those interested in volunteering to take part should meet at the Ballybane Neighbourhood Village beside the library at 11am. Bags, gloves, and litter pickers will be provided. The clean-up will concentrate on green areas and public areas only. No household waste will be collected. Volunteers will be joined by the Galway 2020 Wave Makers.
