Portwest: The brand behind the mask

Portwest, Ireland’s fastest growing leisurewear, workwear, and PPE company, has now released a range of reusable masks.

Established in Westport in 1904, the company has lived through many historic moments in Irish history. Still owned by the Hughes family and employing more than 100 people locally, the company made headlines at the start of the pandemic when it donated more than €100,000 worth of PPE to Irish hospitals, nursing homes, and county councils. Now, as Ireland begins to slowly reopen the country, Portwest’s experienced team of product designers came together to introduce a reusable range of masks.

Made from 100 per cent cotton, the masks can be washed time and time again. Elasticated loops around the ears make for a more comfortable fit, and the cotton material is light and easy to wear. Reusable masks are also a much more environmentally friendly option.

The range consists of a two-ply mask and a three-ply mask and is now available to purchase in Portwest shops in Westport, Galway, and Killarney. For more information, contact 098 51708.
