Galway to mark 75th anniversary of Hiroshima-Nagasaki bombing

Event to take place in Eyre Square on Saturday August 8

The 75th anniversary of the dropping of atomic bombs by the US military on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagaskai will be commemorated in Galway in August.

The Galway Alliance Against War will host the event on Saturday August 8 at 2pm in Eyre Square. The guest speaker will be Independent MEP, Luke 'Ming' Flanagan. There will be music, song, dance, and political discussion. Social distancing will be strictly observed during the event and those participating are asked to wear a mask.
