AM Sold offered a large number of properties via three successful online auctions in June with properties selling across Connacht, Munster, and Leinster. Physical viewings are taking place with precautions in place and the company is in a unique position during the current circumstances to handle sales via its online bidding platform. Buyers can view legal documents before bidding and, once satisfied, they can bid via the online auction. The platform also allows for contracts to be exchanged online, making the transaction as easy as possible within the current crisis.
The Connacht Property Auction was held online on June 4 with more than 30 properties offered for sale including the selection below. In partnership with Gerry Rowland auctioneer (Ballina ), the online auction sold a well finished three bedroom family home plus a one bedroom cottage in Rathlacken, Carrowmore Lacken. The properties, ideally located on the shores of Lacken Strand, were both offered to market in immaculate condition and sold for €219,000.
In partnership with Keary auctioneers (Loughrea ), the auction sold a newly renovated two bed stone cottage located just 15 minutes from Loughrea. This beautiful property offered a scenic location with a river backdrop and attracted strong local interest before it sold for €77,500. In Leitrim, a two bed duplex apartment, in walk-in-condition with excellent rental potential, was offered to the market for €45,000 in partnership with Gordon Hughes estate agents, Ballinamore. There was strong local demand for this spacious apartment and it sold for €55,000.
The Munster Property Auction took place on June 11, again with more than 30 properties offered for sale.
In Dungarvan, Co Waterford, a newly built four bedroom home was sold in partnership with Radley auctioneers, Dungarvan. The property at Ballinacourty is the perfect modern family home in a very popular location. With attractions such as golf clubs and beaches within walking distance, interest was strong and the property successfully sold for €400,000.
In partnership with Property Partners Matt Fallon, Cork city, a well-located development site on the main street of Youghal was also sold. The land which has full planning permission for two, two-bed apartments and one ground floor commercial unit, sold for €28,000. Elsewhere, in Killarney, Co Kerry, an excellent refurbishment project was sold in partnership with Walsh O'Sullivan, Tralee. This two bedroom detached cottage located close to Firies and Killarney sold for €62,000 to a delighted new owner.
The Leinster Property Auction was last up, taking place on June 16, and auction team noted good inquiry and viewing levels on a majority of lots in the weeks leading to the auction. A detached three bed residence on a large corner site, offering development potential in Dundrum, was successfully sold in partnership with Gillespie Lowe, Rathmines, for €695,000. Although in need of updating, the property offers a wonderful opportunity as an investment or as a home due to its excellent potential and convenient location.
Offered in partnership with Lambert McCormack property, Gorey, was a beautifully restored and extended five bed Victorian terraced residence located in the heart of Wicklow town. No 5 Convent Road, due to its location, had interest from both the Irish and UK markets and was successfully sold for €255,000. In Portlaoise the Leinster auction team offered for sale a conveniently located three bed terraced house, in partnership with Clement Herron real estate, Portlaoise. No 75 St Brigid's Place is an ideal investment property and sold for €75,000.
