Imperative that Coole Park Visitor Centre be completed soon says Cannon

An east Galway TD has said that it is imperative that the project to upgrade Coole Park Visitor Centre recommence and be completed without delay.

Deputy Ciaran Cannon has also said that the venue plays a crucial role in south Galway’s cultural and tourism sector and that he will be emphasising the necessity of timely progress in the project to the next Minister of Culture, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht

“One of our own regional institutions of huge significance is Coole Park Visitor Centre and I was pleased to confirm earlier this year that work to upgrade and modernise the centre was due to commence this year.

“This was supported by the €250,000 provided for the Coole Park Visitor Experience and Development Project last year by my colleague Minister Michael Ring under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund and it is inevitable that there will now be some delay to the project due to the restrictions from the pandemic.”
