What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Right now? Human touch. That and getting back to my studio.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

Doctor Who.

Which living person do you most admire?

I’m extremely inspired by a lot of my peers, collaborators, and mentors. They are people who are happy in their ambitions, always willing to share wisdom, and who are here to make the world a better place.

Which is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

A tendency to be impulsive.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Giving names to inanimate objects (e.g my BOSE speaker is named Barb/Babs, after the character in Stranger Things.

What is your favourite journey?

The journey from my bed to my coffee-maker.

On what occasion do you lie?

Different circumstances require different approaches.

Which living person do you most despise?

You-Know-Who.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

Stories and theatre! Every decision I have made since I was about 12/13 has been to be able to tell stories in the theatre and make a living.

When and where were you happiest?

Camping by the sea, playing guitar by a fire and counting satellites and shooting stars in the night sky.

Which talent would you most like to have?

The ability to master any skill.

What is your current state of mind?

Busy. Distracted. Uncertain. Yet slowly finding inspiration.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Leaving my country at 21, without knowing anyone, and subsequently creating/producing my own work.

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what do you think it would be?

An anthropomorphic fox whose side hustle is being a thief of already stolen treasures.

What are your most treasured possessions?

The two rings I wear on my hands: a Claddagh ring and a tungsten band.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Making small talk.

What is your favourite occupation?

Performing and teaching.

What are the qualities you most like in a man?

Vulnerability, creativity, and a sense of adventure.

What are the qualities you most like in a woman?

Vulnerability, creativity, and a sense of adventure.

What is your motto?

The body knows what the mind is still assessing.

Jérémie is a performer, choreographer, movement director, and adopted Galwegian. He is artistic director of Cuisle Productions, and is pursuing a practice-based PhD in physical theatre.
