Galway Hospice launches Virtual Garden

Galway Hospice has launched a special Virtual Garden where supporters can ‘plant’ a flower online.

Covid-19 has affected Galway Hospice fundraising and led to the cancellation of its annual Sunflower Days collections. The new garden allows supporters to safely give from home.

“The people of Galway generously support our Sunflower collections each year. This year, the collections could not go ahead due to Covid-19 but people can still donate what they can and get their flower in a different way,” explained Charlene Hurley, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Galway Hospice.

The Galway Hospice Virtual Garden allows supporters to donate in support of hospice care and include a message with their online flower. Supporters can choose from a yellow sunflower, a red rose and a blue forget-me-not. They will also receive a Sunflower image to share and encourage others to support the Galway Hospice Sunflower Appeal.

All funds raised go to support Galway Hospice services, which are provided free of charge to patients and families affected by life-limiting illness.
